Thirty years ago there were only a few houses in Abu Dhabi. Today Abu Dhabi is changing to a green island with a strong infrastructure. I will analyze the causes and effects of the rapid development of Abu Dhabi city.

There are several reasons to the development of Abu Dhabi city. One of the main factors is the oil wealth. Oil export begun in the late 1950s and early 1960s. It's an important source to get money. Now gas has been found and government wants to use it in business. Another factor is the vision of the people and leaders. Sheikh Zayed was a great man because he was very smart, eloquent and wise.

The development of Abu Dhabi affects the city in various ways. The biggest effect is on environment. Thirty years ago Abu Dhabi was a city of sand but today it is changing to green city. Moreover hospital, roads, building and transportation are available in the UAE. People are also affected. People in the UAE have Standard of living.

There are also many negative effects. The environment, of course, has been also effected. Noise pollution and more air pollution due to emissions are increasing everyday in Abu Dhabi. Another negative result is the old world gone. Some tradition are gone because of development.

In conclusion, if Abu Dhabi continues this way of development, the life will be easy for people. Moreover Abu Dhabi will be a famous city in the future.
