Carbon dioxide is two oxygen atoms with single carbon atom. There are two kind of Carbon Footprint the first one is a primary footprint and the second is secondary footprint. Primary footprint is measure the direct impact of human activities on the environment for example gas and electricity. On the other hand secondary footprint is measure the indirect impact of human activities on the environment for example bottled water and eating red meet.
